 Ethno-memorial complex “The map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” was founded on September 8th, 2001 on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev. The founder of the Enterprise is local authority (akimat).The authorized body of the Enterprise is the Department of culture of Astana.

The purpose of activity of the Map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” is maintenance of safety, availability and familiarizing of the population to historical and cultural wealth, propagation of achievements of the Kazakhstan, reflection of a raciness of all natural zones and economic achievements of Republic Kazakhstan, preservation and augmentation of cultural values.

The informative-art complex “Atameken” The map of Kazakhstan” introduces you with the history of the state, culture of people inhabited here. The stylized mountains, heights, steppes, woods, the lakes, symbolically designated largest cities make symbolical ensemble of this cultural center. An interesting part of the Map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” is decoratively designed model of the Caspian sea.
