STATE SYMBOLS
THE NATIONAL FLAG OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
The national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular cloth of blue color with the image in the center of the sun with rays, under them – a soaring eagle. In the pole – a national ornament in the form of vertical stripes. The image of the sun, its rays, eagle and national ornament are of gold color. The ratio of the Flag’s width to its length is 1:2.
Blue one-color national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan reflects not only a commitment to the idea of unity but also reminds of cloudless sky which always and at all was the personification of peace, tranquility and prosperity.
In the language of heraldry blue color, its shades correspond to such human qualities as honesty, loyalty, hope. The Golden sun bathing in its rays represents peace and wealth, and the steppe eagle generosity and vigilance, height of Kazakhstan people thoughts.
The author of the National flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the artist Shaken Niyazbekov.
THE STATE EMBLEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
The state Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the shape of a circle and represents the image of Shanyrak (the top vaulted part of Yurt) on a blue background from which in all directions in the form of sun rays diverge uyki (props).
Right and left of the Shanyrak are images of mythical winged horses. At the top of the volume is a five-pointed star, and in the lower part – the inscription “Qazaqstan”. Star image, Shanyrak, uyks, mythical winged horses, as well as the inscription “Qazaqstan” – the color of gold.
In the heart of the State emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is Shanyrak. It became the heart of the emblem.
It is the hearth, integrity of the world, the symbol of the primordial state of the family.
Winged Tulpar is the image of immortality, infinite development and spiritual wealth of the peoples living in Kazakhstan under one Shanyrak. Tulpar – symbol of the conservation system of sovereign Kazakhstan. Winged Tulpar is a flight, a dream, the younger generation, which is always linked to hope.
Five-point star crowns the emblem. Each person has his own guiding star. Such a star should be the state.
The authors of the State emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan are the architects Shota Ualikhanov and Zhandarbek Malibekov.
